Adi Kailash Yatra 2025 | Route Details, Eligibility & Permit Information

Adi Kailash Yatra is indeed the most sacred Shiva bhakt trek. Located in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, the trek is replete with serenity, spirituality, and heavenly natural beauty. The “Chhota Kailash” is so called since Adi Kailash lies closest to Tibet’s Mount Kailash, as the name suggests. Adi Kailash is Shiva bhakts’ most sacred one. Masses of devotees make this divine pilgrimage each year to offer their respects to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati in the resplendent Himalayas.

Here in the subsequent full guide, let us view everything regarding Adi Kailash Yatra 2025—from route details, eligibility, and permits to how to go and traveling.

  1. Adi Kailash and Om Parvat—Sacred But Not the Same

Om Parvat and Adi Kailash are thought by human beings to be the same, but Adi Kailash is a separate religious place.

The height of Adi Kailash is 5,945 meters (19,505 ft) above sea level. The mountain is also known as the worldly incarnation of Lord Shiva’s heaven of Mount Kailash. The region is blessed with spiritual tranquility and divine strength and thus cannot be ignored by all the devotees of Lord Shiva.

Om Parvat is, however, unique in the fact that it naturally bears the “ॐ” (Om) symbol on its white face. It is one of eight Om-shaped mountains in the world to date that have been discovered. Nature has chiseled out the Om symbol in this place. The mountain is close to Nabhi Dhang and is 5,590 meters (18,340 ft) in height.

At Adi Kailash Yatra, pilgrims also get the opportunity to see Om Parvat closely and witness this miracle of God.
