The Char Dham Yatra is a pilgrimage to India’s most sacred and holy sites. Thousands of pilgrims and spiritual seekers travel from all over the world to seek enlightenment. The Chardham Yatra begins on the auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya in the month of Chaitya and continues till Bhai Dooj. Every Hindu’s greatest wish is to visit these sacred locations at least once in their lifetime in order to achieve Moksha.
Char Dham literally translates to “travel to the four abodes” and refers to a pilgrimage to four sacred Hindu sanctuaries in Uttarakhand’s high Himalayas. To distinguish it from the larger Char Dham circuit in India, this yatra is sometimes known as ‘Chhota Char Dham.’
Yamunotri Dham, Gangotri Dham, Kedarnath Dham, and Badrinath Dham are all part of the Hindu Char Dham Yatra circuit. The spiritual sources of the rivers Yamuna (Yamunotri), Ganga (Gangotri), Mandakini (Kedarnath), and Alaknanda are these four ancient temples (Badrinath).
The Chardham Yatra is traditionally performed from west to east, beginning in Yamunotri, then moving on to Gangotri, and eventually to Kedarnath and Badrinath. Pilgrims generally visit Yamunotri and Gangotri first, bringing holy water from the Yamuna and Ganga’s springs and performing abhishekams on Kedareshwara.
Haridwar → Yamunotri → Uttarkashi → Gangotri → Guptakashi → Kedarnath → Joshimath → Badrinath → Rishikesh → Haridwar.
The nearest airport is Dehradun’s Jolly Grant Airport, and Haridwar is well connected by road and train to all major towns. You can also start your yatra from Delhi if it is more convenient for you. It will take you 12 days to complete the yatra. There are several additional noteworthy places to visit if time allows, including Gaumukh – Tapovan, Shri Hemkund Sahib, Valley of Flowers, Chopta – Tungnath Mahadev, Panch Kedar, and Panch Prayag.
We are the most experienced operators of the Panch Kailash Yatra, which includes the Kailash Mansarovar, Aadi Kailash & Om Parvat, Kinnaur Kailash, Shrikhand Mahadev Kailash, and Manimahesh Kailash Parikrama. Please contact us if you are willing to help with any of these.
Heaven Riders India provides you with the opportunity to participate in the ‘Char Dham Yatra.’ The journey begins and ends in Haridwar. Yatras are also offered from Delhi, Rishikesh, and Dehradun. About Yamunotri Dham:
The Yamunotri Dham is the first of the Chardham Yatra's sacred destinations. This Dham is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, who is considered a daughter of Surya Dev, the Sun God. The Yamunotri Dham was isolated from a sage Asti Muni, according to mythological accounts and convictions. Every day for the rest of his life, the Asti Muni bathed in both the Ganges and the Yamuna. Regardless, in his old age, he lacked the energy to reach Gangotri, but his tremendous acts were rewarded, and a torrent of Ganges appeared beside Yamunotri for him. This fantastic anecdote adds to Dham's unearthly value.
Yamunotri Temple was established in the 19th century by Maharani Gularia of Jaipur. It has been demolished twice in this century and rebuilt both times.

Gangotri Temple is located on the right bank of the Bhagirathi River and was built by Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa in the 18th century. Every year, the temple closes on Diwali and reopens on Akshaya Tritiya. The goddess's idol is kept at Mukhba hamlet, near Harsil, during this time. Spiti is magical in itself, but the way this Heaven Riders planned and executed everything made it even more special and unforgettable. From the breathtaking landscapes to the smooth coordination, everything was perfectly managed. A special thanks to Vishal ji for his constant support throughout the journey. He made sure we were comfortable, safe, and enjoying every moment. What I really appreciated was that he didn’t just stick to the itinerary — he also showed us extra places that weren’t even mentioned, which made the experience even more memorable. Every small detail was taken care of, and the entire trip felt well-organized and stress-free. I created memories for a lifetime. Highly recommended to anyone planning a Spiti trip — you can trust them completely for an amazing experience! 🌄✨ Looking forward to many more trips together in the future😊Posted on Google Piyush JainTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I don't post reviews at all but for this I had to. Thanks to heaven riders, I managed to complete one of the most difficult courses in high altitude mountaineering. This would not have been possible without the brilliance of our mentor Mr. Vishal Thakur. Under his leadership and guidance, the whole week was packed with adventures and learnings. I would also like to thank Ms. Kalpana, who made all the ends meet with her patience and constant coordination with us. Everything was handled very seamlessly. Heavenridersindia team is indeed very professional. Thank you so much 🙏🏻Posted on Google AbhishreeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have no words to express my gratitude to Mr. Vishal Thakur and his team. I went for an ice climbing course to Spiti valley with their team. This is supposed to be one of the toughest courses at high altitude areas. In chilling temperatures of minus 28 degrees, tough climbs at high altitudes as well as scaling the whole waterfall, Vishal Thakur was an absolute epitome of leadership and technical expertise. He believed in me more than I did in myself. The course was an absolute success! I will definitely be coming back for the advanced course! Everything from the logistics to the stay to the food and the teaching was managed impeccably. As a special mention, I want to thank Ms. Kalpana as well who was coordinating with me throughout the journey and made sure she was available even in the wee hours of the morning without a single complaint. The whole team clearly works for a common purpose.Posted on Google Swastika GangulyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
