How to Reach Manali

Manali is the popular tourist destination among tourists in India & hub of adventure sports and it levels up your adrenaline rush. This beautiful himalayan town situated at 2,000 meters above sea level next to the bank of Beas river. Manali serves as the gateway to Lahaul and Spiti district as well as Leh-Ladakh.
Nearest Airport: Bhuntar Airport (IATA code KUU) is the closest airport, located 50 kilometres from Manali on NH21. Air India flies to the airport on a regular basis from New Delhi.
Helicopter taxi service: Pawan Hans the Government of India charter agency provides a heli-taxi service connecting Shimla, Kullu, and Dharamshala to Chandigarh.

Nearest Railway Station: There is no close rail-head available close to Manali. Kiratpur Sahib is 268 kilometers away, Kalka is 275 kilometers away, and Chandigarh is 310 kilometers away.

By Road: Manali is accessible by road from Delhi via Ambala, Chandigarh, Bilaspur, Mandi, and Kullu. The distance between Delhi and Manali is 570 kilometers. On this route, luxury buses, notably semi-sleeper Volvos, usually run overnight. On the Delhi-Manali route, HRTC Himachal Road Transport Corporation and private operators run daily Volvo buses. To get to Manali, one can take a taxi from Delhi.

Itinerary

Day 1: Departure from Delhi to Manali

Leave from Delhi at 05:00 PM and reach Manali next morning. This will be your first spot in the spiti valley tour.

Day 2: Arrive Manali | Explore Manali

• Arrive at Manali early in the morning and check into the hotel.
• Freshen up & Rest
• visit the Mall Road, Hidimba Temple, Old Manali for Cafe Hopping
• Shop warm clothing for Spiti Tour - Check things to carry list
• return to the hotel, followed by dinner

Day 3: Manali - Kunzum - Kaza

• Post early breakfast, drive to Kaza
• Atal Tunnel, Chhatru, Batal, Kunzum Pass at 14,931ft The Gateway to Spiti, Losar
• Reach Kaza by evening
• Overnight stay in Rooms/Camps

Day 4: Laza Local: Hikkim - Komic - Langza

• Post Breakfast, we drive to some of the highest inhabited regions of the world
• Hikkim - Highest Post office in the world, Send postcards to family and friends
• Komic - The highest village in Asia, which literally translates to ‘eye of a snow cock’ | 4,500 meters above sea level
• Lagnza - The Fossil village, Huge Statue of Buddha
• Later explore Kaza market by own in the evening

Day 5: Kaza - Pin Valley National Park

• After a delicious breakfast, drive to beautiful Pin Valley
• Visit Kungri Monastery and then Mudh Village – the last motorable village of the Pin Valley

• Declared national park in 1987, Pin Valley has altitudes ranging from 11,000 to 20,000 feet and is home to at least 12 endangered snow leopards.

Day 7: Kaza - Kee - Chandratal

• early breakfast, drive to Chandratal lake
• Mystical and beautiful Chandratal Lake, which means "Moon Lake" | 14,000 feet
• Swiss Camps equipped with high altitude sleeping bags/ blankets and a comfortable mattress
• Hike to Chandratal is 20 minutes away from Parking
• Overnight stay in Swiss Camps, Followed by Dinner

Day 8: Chandratal - Manali

• On this day, we return to Manali via the Manali Highway.
• reach Manali in the evening, find time for shopping
• Board overnight semi-sleeper Volvo to Delhi

Day 9: Fly back to home destination

• Reach Delhi in the morning and fly back to home with lots of sweet memories

What documents I have to carry for Spiti Valley Tour?

I'm the solo female traveler, is it safe?

Girls safety is important to us. Our entire mountain staff & guides are extremely trust worthy. Many solo woman travelers trek with us so there's no worry about it. We would advise all to take care of your belongings.

Is it possible for me to make phone calls during the trip?

Most of the time, yes. At Kaza, Jio and BSNL work, while there is no network on other days. Please send this to any worried family members ahead of time.

Can I take my child along on Spiti trip? What is the age limit?

Yes you can take your child. Minimum age for eligibility is 5 years.

How can I book a trip with you?

What type of transportation will be used on the trip?

We use taxis like Innova, Tempo Traveler, Bolero, Tata Sumo, Scorpio, Jeep, Gypsy etc. from our vendors.

How big are the groups?

We at HRI believe in the concept of Small batches' that improves quality & focus. For private groups there's no limit. Customization available.

We need at least 6 people to operate our fixed departure trips.

What if the trip is cancelled or change in itinerary due to natural calamities?

Trip bookings are already done previously. We will be offering you any alternate trip or voucher having similar value for money in case of natural calamities.

In case of non-completion of trip or change in itinerary due to weather conditions, road blockage, skip of sightseeing/activity etc there wont be any refund.

In the interest of safety, comfort, and general well-being, we retain the right to adjust any schedule. Expenses arise unforeseen circumstances or Act of God or beyond our control to be borne by you. Read Cancellation Policy.
